A new stage in life

Hi all,

As time goes by we seem to outgrow a lot of things. So due to a few different things and a particular decision I have made in my life I am no longer going to be using this LJ. I kind of figured considering that I have diddly interest in the law these days that I would ditch the old and be in with the new.

As such I have created a new and improved rambling kittieh lj called sawakitty. So to continue hearing apparently incoherent and random things pop up on my lj please add me to your friends. I will be endeavouring to do the same, however if I miss anyone, it is not because I dun like you, it is simply because I am a lazy kitty (as all good kittiehs are) and have probably forgot.

Hey all,

I have ordered a heap of stuff from the usa lately and only 1 thing has come through. For some reason it is taking forever! I ordered the stuff like weeks ago. Am not a very happy kitty. ordered:

- Heap of stuff from oberon zell, (is comming by sea so should be in soon *fingers crossed*)
- an athame to fill an order
- the chipmunk adventure from Amazon
- Air gear box set

Man I get so frustrated when I order stuff and they take ages in the post. So am kind of excitedly and depressedly aggravated.

Yes another movie I have seen but better! - it is Disney!!

Great for any hardcore disney fan like myself. And when I say hardcore, trust me in that I mean it. I mean how many Disney "fans" picked up on the fact that they used the same camera angles for when she eats the apple as in Snow White (the original Disney production!!)!! I miss the days of the cell animation rather than everything being done on computer. But oh well.

Was a different look to an old story. Loved Susan Sarandon as the evil queen esp. once changed into the dragon. I absolutely loved the dragon. Well put together storyline and a seamlessness between animation and real time.

Good for those light hearted, I don't want to have to think too much moods when you want to watch a movie.

Saw this a little while back on my own. Have only now seen fit to comment.

Was not particularly happy with this movie. Was the tradition cliche of always a bridesmaid never a bride. Knew that going in. Guess when you work with a cliche this old people expect something new from it. to attck it from a new perspective. Unfortunately, like Jurassic Park 3, all the highlights from the movie were in the ads.

Best highlight: James Marsden...definitely perve worthy in this film on some level at least.

Characters were not very well formed and had more of a 2D personality to them than is usually required for any movie. Guess this is why it was so heavily marketed.

Anywho, not my best movie pick. But at least I should get free movie tickets out of it. Looks like I am turning back into my movie freakishness that I was back in High School...yay for me!

Next to see is Waterhorse (though this is almost gone from cinemas, so I will have to probably go sometime this weekend).

Went to see the Mist on Sunday. As thought it was a movie adaptation of the Stephen King novel. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie, though have never read the book....nor anything else by Stephen King. I was however glad to see that they didn't wimp out and put the stupid hollywood ending at the end.

Best highlight: When the crackpot fanatical christian lady gets shot. I clapped and cheered for this part....was kind of surprised that everyone else in the cinema joined in.

Heard some "reviews" outside of the cinema. Tis kind of a pet peeve of mine if someone says something is crap or gives a negative view of something without actually stating why they disliked it. I am sorry but I don't think that "it was crap" and then asked why it was crap simply say "it was stoopid" is a really illustrative assessment on the quality of the movie. *done ranting now*

Am slowly going insane without watching Anime on fox. But have been staving off my own insanity by inflicting it on other people by endless episodes of sailor moon (up so season 3 of 5 in a two to three day period). I know I am sad, in fact it is one of a few parts of my life in which I am completely happy. Will hopefully get my air gear box set soon (which I ordered ages ago). Then I can drive the household crazy on. Until then I have sailor moon and a shit load of penicillin to have fun with.

Also got an awesome new ps3 game the other day. Was on special at JB Hifi. Tis called heavenly sword. Is one of the most violent games I have come across which just simply makes it awesome and a great stress relief. Nothing like having the two guys you live with squealing in pain as they see me motion glide an arrow into an enemy's crotch - not only straight into but up. *Guys avert your eyes for this section* Essentially if the guy were real I would have tacked his scrotum to his perenium (sp?). So that was fun. Copped some guy straight in the forehead too. Looks to be a short game but it is good none the less graphics are great too.

Movie Madness

Hi All,

Just went and saw Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of fleet street. Despite the obviously distracting absolute hotness of Johnny Depp (even with that streak of white hair, he is as hot as hot comes) it was an awesome movie. definately worth seeing. Though I definately caution, not for the faint of heart at all or anyone who is afraid of blood or even squemish (sp?) in the least. There is a lot of throat cutting goodness and they don't really do the whole stupid hollywood thing of turning the camera away from the killing spree and stuffs. It is also a musical (obviously) so even though it is such a dark movie it is nice to see music returning to the cinema (get over it I am a sucker for old musical 50's movies). Johnny is also a very good singer as well. Was directed by Tim Burton so that should probably speak in volumes about exactly how dark the movie is.

Twas totally awesome and gets full recommendations!

For those of you who have a great sense of humour and are not very easily offended, watch the above clip. I found it hilarious to the point of crying. Others may have a different view. But watch anyway.

Not much else has been going on with me. Been drumming for about 3 months now and the stress relief is awesome. Working for someone other than myself is always pretty crap but nothing I can do there until the shop is on it's feet.

Ohh if anyone has any furniture they are looking to get rid of let me know what it is as we still need bits and pieces for the store.

I dont really know what is going wrong but for some strange reason I am becoming more responsible for myself. I have been in a new job coming up to 3 weeks now and I haven't been late once, I dont access the internet really at all unless it is for stuff related to what I am doing and I no longer send a copius amount of email.

However, I am having today off which is a bit unresponsible. But I am going to the docs to have my head looked at just in case of any permanent damage occasioned by a curtain rod falling on my head. The weird thing about all this is that I am waiting for 8.30 to tick around so that I can ring up the doc's surgery and make an appointment. For all that know me you would know that this is very strange behaviour because I never do anything "by appointment". I'm the i'll just show up whenever I feel like it gal. I mean that I dropped mark off at the station, came back here and looked up the number for the doc's. I actually wanted to make an appointment then so that when I rang work I would be able to tell them my appointment time and everything. But alas the surgery only opens at 8.30. But even stranger yet, I actually rang work and told them I wasn't coming in more than an hour before I was due to be there! How strange is that. Normally I ring like 15 minutes before I am supposed to start.

Anyways, it cant have been the bump to the head that has done this, because it started almost 3 weeks ago or so.

Anywho, better ring up and make my appointment. I have the strangest notion that I am going to end up getting a tetnus booster.

I am in a bit of a pickle at the moment as to where to have my 21st birthday next year. The suggestions I have had so far is as follows:

My dad suggested that I have it at a restaurant but I dont really want to do that. I would actually like to have something bigger than that.

Any suggestions would be nice as well as a show of hands as to would like to attend this way I can get an idea of how many to cater for. It will be on Saturday 29th March 2008 and I will be sending out invites and stuff but I would really only like to invite people who would like to come to the party.\

Thought it was about time.

Shop is going good. Business has been picking up slowly which is to be expected. However now we have discovered that when it rains it poors and we dont mean with customers. Talkig more about bills and stuff. Rent is due, mobile bill, work phone, electricity, insurance...and all that sort of lovely stuff. I guess the one saving grace is that business is picking up...thankfully. Had a few sales today. Which is quite good.

Went to witches meetup in newtown last night...what a total bust that was. Practically no one was there and who was there were being all yuppie pagans and clickish. It makes me wonder what would happen if a solitary witch were to go to these meetups not knowing what is what or who is who and just sitting there thinking it was a waste of time. Anyways as a result we are holding a witches meetup on October 15th at 7pm at the Macarthur Tavern in Macarthur Square. It is easily accessible by train or by car. I think signage saying where all the witches are would be helpful too so I am going to look into that. You never know, if it is a success we may even look at making it a regular thing. So if you are interested by all means let us know that you are coming and I will send you a reminder closer to the date.

Anywho back to me. Been under a lot of stress lately. Was taking it out on the drums but alas they and I are currently on hiatus :-(, though I have got purple drum sticks which is totally KOOL. Have recently gone back to drawing too. Nice to have a creative outlet. Maybe you will see some of my creations in the shop in the not too distant future, that is if I can find someone who is a good enough painter to commit them to portrait for me. Have also taken up writing again. Am writing for this website called helium. I get paid for the articles (not very much) but there is a chance of them being published in major news papers and stuff, so you may just read me in the MX at some point. lol.

Am contemplating going to TAFE to redo my HSC considering that due to certain elements during the end of my High School career, it totally got screwed. Think I may go back and get the 96 i deserve. May do the same subjects, may not who knows but the more I think about it the more it seems like a good idea. Am thinking that I may actually go into journalism (i know that I have the shop and stuff but I dont think that this should be my end goal, just in case it doesn't work out). I remembered that as a girl I always wanted to go to Harvard to study law and stuff so maybe if I do well enough if I go to TAFE to redo the HSC I will be able to go and maybe do journalism or something like that at one of those schools. I just dont know, but it seems like something I would like to do. Means I would need to live in the USA for a couple of years but I think that I would be able to manage that.

Anyway that is all from me at the moment.
